THE MYTH OF MALAY SUPREMACY: A personal observation by Tunku Abdul Aziz
How to reconcile UMNO’s pathological obsession with Malay “rights” with the principles of inalienable equality for all Malaysians? This is an issue that Tunku Abdul Aziz will touch on the racially-charged concept of Ketuanan Melayu or the Malay Supremacy, promoted by UMNO in a multi-ethnic Malaysia. The seasoned anti-corruption activist will share his experience as well as his wit and wisdom pertaining to the enigmatic subject of Malaysia’s racial politics. Tunku Aziz believes that all of us must drop our chauvinistic and selfish grandstanding, and start to think about the country for once. He has voiced out time and again that all Malaysians must stop living in uneasy coexistence, compounded by the most irrational suspicion and prejudice.

The Nairobi 'slum' is home to around 7,000 people but private companies are trying to reclaim the land for development. In 2005, contractors (with police support) evicted hundreds of people in the middle of the night and then, despite a ruling by the Kenyan high court that it was illegal, demolished their houses. Presentation on "Housing Rights in Cambodia: Homes Taken Away". The number of land disputes, land confiscations and evictions, including forced eviction reported in Cambodia has steadily risen in recent years.
