Our news never tell us the whole truth. Our politicians veil their threats. Our friends are too polite with us. When we criticise, we choose the sweetest words. When we confess our feelings, we drop hints instead. So many things we don't dare say aloud, or don't know how to. Religion. Race. Politics. Sex. Desires. Love. So we are left to expressing ourselves in between the lines.
The Annexe Gallery and Central Market are proud to present “Between The Lines”, an art exhibition featuring new works by 13 artists dealing with the theme of what really happens between the lines. Curated by Pang Khee Teik.
Participating artists include: Adila Abdul Malik, Alexdrina Chong, Chu Yuan, Dura, Fathullah Luqman, Fennie Chin, Jerome Kugan, Jun Kit, Maya Tan Abdullah, Nani Kahar, Norman Teh, Saiful Razman, Shahril Nizam, and Sharaad Kuttan.
